I. Discussion "Public Transport. Pros & cons".
Brainstorm ideas on the given topic. Then ask your partner and answer yourself the following questions.
What are your favorite means of transport?
How often do you use public transport?
What would you change in public transpot system of your town?
Write down all do's and don'ts.
Watch another video about the History of The London Tube and answer the following questions.
1. How many journeys do passengers make per year?
2. When did The London Tube open?

III. Study the page with the new vocabulary related to the topic of "Underground" (Travel English Pocket Book).

Listen to a dialogue given in your handouts and fill in the missing words.
IV. Using the prompts from your handouts make up a dialogue in which you need to buy metro tickets.
V. Study the map of Central London Tube
Choose a particular metro station that you would like to travel to and ask a stranger (your partner) how to go there (use a mindmap with useful phrases of a polite conversation).
VI. Pick up one of the central Tube's stations and surf the Net on its history and interesting facts.
